Privacy policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026
Plumfern ("we", "us") shares home organisation printables, planners and templates on Pinterest and at plumfern.com. Plumfern is run by an individual based in the United Kingdom. This policy explains what personal data we handle and why. We aim to collect as little as possible.
Who is responsible for your data
Plumfern is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can contact us at hello@plumfern.com.
What we collect
- Emails you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use this only to reply to you.
- Website visits. This website has no sign-up forms, no accounts and no analytics or advertising cookies of its own. Our hosting provider may log basic technical information (such as your IP address and browser type) for security and to keep the site running.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Affiliate links
Some links we share on Pinterest and this website are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. When you click an affiliate link, you leave our site, and the retailer or affiliate network (for example, Sellfy or OnPlanners) may set cookies to record that the sale came from us. Those cookies are controlled by them, not by us, and are covered by their own privacy policies.
Our use of the Pinterest API
We use an application built on Pinterest's API to manage our own Pinterest account, for example to create boards and publish pins that we have reviewed and approved. In doing so:
- The app connects only to Plumfern's own Pinterest account. It does not ask other Pinterest users to log in or connect their accounts.
- We access only the data needed to manage our own boards and pins, plus aggregated analytics for our own content, such as impressions and clicks.
- We may use Pinterest's trends data, which is aggregated and does not identify individual users.
- We do not collect, store or sell personal data about other Pinterest users.
- Access credentials are stored securely and used only to operate our own account.
Your use of Pinterest is governed by Pinterest's privacy policy.
How long we keep data
We keep emails only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, and delete them when no longer needed.
Legal basis
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), we rely on our legitimate interests in replying to messages and running this website and our Pinterest account.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal data, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to object to how we use it. To make a request, email hello@plumfern.com. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
